Like most science fiction stories, we will start with a what-if. What if we were given a new world. A new Earth-like planet to colonize. How could this happen? Who would go? How would we make this new world a home?

It happens when an alien race named the Koriman comes to Earth with an offer. They knew of this world, but they were not able to colonize it themselves. They were offering this world to humanity, including transportation. In exchange the colonists on the planet would provide them with a certain resource from the planet. Why couldn’t they colonize the planet, and why do they seem to need this resource so desperately? Also, what was the Koriman secret that they could not allow the humans to know?

One thousand pioneers would be transported to the planet. These colonists would be chosen from millions of candidates around the world. They would be trained. The training process would be difficult for some. They would all have to learn a new language. Some would not complete the training.

Finally, the pioneers would be transported to the planet, which they had named Siri-Li. Over the next planet year, the pioneers would face many hardships and they would discover the Koriman secret that would almost bring an end to their adventure.
