Our Learning Land

Let me talk you by the hand,

and let’s all go down to our learning land.

In our learning land the world is right,

and the light of learning is shining bright.

It is here we learn our ABCs,

and where we count our 123s.

Look, there’s Frankie and there’s Duke,

and there is Eleanor looking so cute.

And there is Grandpappy with his gray hair.

He teaches us how to be honest and fair.

Let’s go down to the station so we can see,

the trains pull in both A and B.

The A Train is loading all of his A things,

like acorns and anvils and airplane wings.

The B Train is loaded and he can’t take any more.

He’s heading for Billings and Boston and Baltimore.

Let’s rest in a meadow, under a tree,

And watch the bunnies hop by, one two, three.

The sun is setting and it’s time to go.

Back to mommy and daddy but be sure to know.

You can come back any time.

Our Learning Land is our land, both yours and mine.

A Ride on the A Train

Let’s ride on the A Train so we can see,

the A things go by for you and me.

It’s been a long route but it was grand,

and now we’ll go back to Our Learning Land.

The train will take the A route along the way,

we’ll see all the A things on this sunny day.

Look there, just up ahead,

There are APPLE trees with their APPLES all shiny and red.

Next on the left we will pass,

A family of ANTELOPE in the grass.

There is the AIRPORT up on the right,

With all of the AIRPLANES ready for flight.

Next we’ll see the cars all in a row,

They are competing in the AUTO show.

Oh look there, it’s a special place,

where ASTRONAUTS train for their walk in space.

We pass through town and we do not stop,

but we see the blacksmith by his ANVIL at the blacksmith shop.

Next is the courthouse that we go by,

where we see the AMERICANflag proudly fly.

Outside of town it is a thrill,

to see the world’s largest ANT hill.

As we arrive at Our Learning Land,

all of our friends are there at hand.
